My goal is to allow you to discover your strengths and learn proven strategies to meet your needs to manage life's challenges causing stress, anxiety, depression, and frustration. We work together to understand and resolve problems for a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and educational issues.
Assessment and planning to assist students with ADHD, LD, or Autism is an additional area of specialization.
An individualized treatment plan is tailored using a blend of modalities developed from neuroscience and evidenced based treatments that include CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy). Skills are learned to deal with stress, mood or behavior problems, interpersonal issues, and other challenges. Play therapy with CBT is recommended for children.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, you will recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. You overcome these symptoms and heal to restore emotional balance.
Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held with both couples and is a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship.
