Dr. Karen Davis, Psy.D. is a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) in practice in Beverly Hills, California. She holds several additional professional licenses/credentials: Educational Psychologist, Multi-State Certified School Psychologist/Counselor, and Certified Heart Math Practitioner. She provides assessment and counseling services for children, adolescents, adults, and couples. Dr. Davis applies effective treatment strategies that integrate neuroscience research and psychotherapy to address many types of emotional and behavioral issues.

Working in the field since the identification and study of learning disabilities and attention deficit disorders emerged, Dr. Davis has been a pioneer in in administering neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations to identify individual student needs and develop intervention strategies for remediation and school accommodations. She has implemented programs in public and private schools throughout the country, including accommodations for university students. She was also a participant in the preliminary development of team assessments and educational programs for special needs students based on a model that was later adopted by federal programs and legislation requirements currently known as IDEA.

Since 1990, Dr. Davis has worked solely in private practice as a psychotherapist and educational psychologist. She began her career working for school districts in the District of Columbia, Virginia, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Southern California. Dr. Davis worked as the school psychologist for the Palos Verdes and Beverly Hills school districts and prior to that in the greater Boston area.
